About the role
As a Staff Engineer at G2i, you will set technical direction and raise the execution bar across modern full-stack systems built with React 19 and Node.js. You will lead and grow an engineering team, establish architectural and operational standards, partner closely with Product and Design, and ensure durable engineering practices while maintaining rapid shipping velocity in support of next-generation AI platforms.
What you'll do
- Lead and grow an engineering team through hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
- Set and evolve technical strategy for developer platforms, dashboards, and internal tooling.
- Partner with Product and Design to deliver roadmap outcomes with high velocity and craftsmanship.
- Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
- Drive architecture decisions across front-end, back-end (tRPC), and deployment (Docker and CI/CD).
- Own delivery health, including sprint hygiene, predictable execution, and incident/on-call practices.
What you bring
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 2–4+ years leading teams as an EM, Tech Lead, or Head of Engineering.
- Strong full-stack expertise with React and Node.js, modern front-end patterns, SSR, performance, and API design.
- Hands-on experience shipping and operating production systems with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, observability, and incident management.
- Proven track record of balancing speed with quality in startup environments.
- Clear communication skills with strong technical judgment and a dedication to mentoring engineers.
