About the role
As a Senior MLOps Engineer, you will join a small, autonomous team building ML infrastructure to bring current and next-generation Pod ML models to production. You will own scalable data, model, and deployment pipelines, optimizing compute and inference performance while collaborating with firmware, data, R&D, and backend teams.
What you'll do
- Own the design and operation of robust ML infrastructure, building scalable data, model, and CI/CD deployment pipelines.
- Introduce and integrate cutting-edge ML technologies into products and processes to support health monitoring.
- Partner with R&D, firmware, data, and backend teams to ensure ML inference operates reliably across Pods worldwide.
- Optimize compute, storage, and deployment resources across training and inference for cost-efficiency and latency.
- Develop tooling, microservices, and frameworks to streamline data processing, experimentation, and telemetry monitoring.
What you bring
- 5+ years of software engineering experience focusing on ML infrastructure, distributed systems, or large-scale data processing in Python.
- Hands-on experience with ML workflow orchestration and CI/CD pipelines for model deployment.
- Demonstrated success shipping ML models to production at scale across large device fleets or user populations.
- Strong experience with AWS (Lambda, ECS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch) or equivalent cloud platforms for serving and monitoring ML systems.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and thrive in a remote work environment.
