About the role
As the Product Engineering Lead for Keet, you will oversee the frontend and API engineering teams developing a decentralized, peer-to-peer messaging platform. Reporting directly to the CTO and collaborating closely with product managers, you will establish technical standards, own feature architecture, and ensure the engineering team consistently ships reliable, high-performance consumer software.
What you'll do
- Run the API and frontend teams day to day: unblocking, reviewing, and keeping them shipping.
- Set and hold a high engineering bar for performance, reliability, and clean APIs.
- Own the technical design of features and the API surface between Keet's core and the app.
- Work alongside Keet's product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work.
- Mentor team leads to build strong team operating systems and grow as leaders.
What you bring
- Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products, ideally in chat, calling, or social apps.
- Deep proficiency in JavaScript and React.
- Intuition for distributed, offline-first, and local-first systems with eventual consistency.
- Strong product sense to evaluate features and partner effectively with product management.
