About the role
As a Software Engineer on the Engineering Operations team, you will lead the shift toward an automated engineering lifecycle across the Camunda 8 codebases. You will implement and maintain scalable core development processes, enhance CI/release health, manage dependencies, and eliminate bottlenecks in developer workflows to support AI-augmented engineering across the broader organization.
What you'll do
- Lead the shift toward an automated engineering lifecycle by orchestrating unified processes in Camunda 8 repositories, including release management and dependency updates.
- Continuously optimize CI/release health and development velocity using a metric-driven approach to remove workflow bottlenecks.
- Collaborate with engineering stakeholders to implement CI strategies and engineering best practices.
- Identify friction points in engineering workflows and evolve them into automated, self-sustaining systems.
What you bring
- Strong software engineering experience with a track record of delivering results, preferably in Java.
- Backend or Fullstack specialization with a strong DevOps and engineering operational excellence mindset.
- Experience with CI build tools (GitHub Actions, Maven, Docker) and automations (Shell/Python) in complex projects or monorepos.
- Strong collaboration skills across teams to deliver platform-level developer experience solutions.
