About the role
As an Email Deliverability Specialist within Technical Support, you will act as a subject matter expert diagnosing inboxing issues, auditing authentication configurations, and monitoring sender reputation across IPs and domains. You will handle complex escalations, guide senders through evolving industry standards, collaborate with Engineering on deep technical investigations, and create documentation and training to scale deliverability expertise across the organization.
What you'll do
- Act as a trusted deliverability advisor to customers, handling complex technical cases and leading customer calls.
- Audit sender setup and reputation using authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) and tools like Google Postmaster Tools, Yahoo Sender Hub, and Microsoft SNDS.
- Investigate highly technical issues alongside Engineering and surface customer case trends to Product teams.
- Identify acceptable use policy violations, hold direct compliance conversations with senders, and monitor changing industry standards.
- Coach and equip Customer Success and Technical Support teams through internal documentation, training, and customer-facing Academy resources.
What you bring
- 2-4 years of email deliverability experience at an ESP, B2B SaaS company, or marketing automation platform.
- Deep understanding of email authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC, BIMI) and infrastructure (SMTP, MTAs, DNS).
- Proficiency with provider data feeds (Google Postmaster Tools, Yahoo Sender Hub, SNDS) and deliverability tools like Everest or MXToolbox.
- Working knowledge of email compliance and acceptable use policies, with strong communication skills for customer calls.
- Must be located in the United States or Canada.
