About the role
As a Senior Partner Sales Manager, you will work closely with Canonical's Global System Integrator (GSI) partners and the regional Partner Sales Director to expand Ubuntu-based solutions and digital transformation initiatives. You will develop partner relationships from engineering teams up to the CxO level, negotiate contracts, conduct customer workshops, and coordinate executive interlocks to drive Canonical market share and attach rates. The position is fully remote with up to 40% travel, including international trips.
What you'll do
- Build strategic relationships with GSI partners at all levels to increase Ubuntu technology adoption and stickiness.
- Negotiate partner contracts and commercial business terms across sales organizations.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to deliver on targets and represent the voice of the partner.
- Conduct customer workshops, deliver public presentations, and participate in sales events and executive interlocks.
- Travel domestically and internationally up to 40% of the time for partner engagements and events.
What you bring
- Extensive experience in alliance or indirect sales management roles, particularly with Global System Integrators.
- Deep understanding of Linux, cloud ecosystems (OpenStack, virtualization, containers), and open source selling models.
- Demonstrated ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, and negotiate commercial agreements.
- Strong communication, presentation, and executive relationship management skills.
- Comfortable working autonomously in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with ambitious goals.
