About the role
As a Senior Mobile Platform Engineer, you will own the SDK platform end to end, treating it like a first-class product for third-party developers. Your responsibilities span the full platform lifecycle, including defining public API shapes, implementing core features in Rust and native shells, orchestrating release pipelines, and integrating platform-specific features like rich push and integrity checks using modern AI-assisted engineering practices.
What you'll do
- Design idiomatic public APIs and write contracts and conformance vectors across iOS, Android, and web shells.
- Implement features in the Rust core and shell executors, overseeing and validating AI-assisted code contributions.
- Build and maintain automated release pipelines producing XCFramework, AAR, and npm packages with symbols, SBOMs, and privacy manifests.
- Handle merchant integration issues and tickets, replaying diagnostic bundles and publishing patch releases.
- Create architectural decision records (ADRs), migration guides, changelogs, and technical integration documentation.
What you bring
- 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 2+ years building libraries, SDKs, or platforms consumed by third parties.
- Strong expertise in public API design, SemVer, mobile lifecycles, and cross-language interoperability (FFI, JNI/NDK, or Swift C interop).
- Production experience shipping either iOS SDKs (Swift 6 concurrency, XCFrameworks, SPM) or Android SDKs (Maven Central, ProGuard/R8, WorkManager).
- Advanced proficiency with AI-assisted software development tools and coding agents (such as Claude Code).
- Experience writing comprehensive developer documentation, ADRs, and diagnostic integration tooling.
