About the role
As a Senior Illustrator at Multiplayer Studio, you will create illustrations across diverse styles tailored to client brands, audiences, and tones. You will lead the craft of visual storytelling by developing moodboards, establishing new and ownable illustration systems, and building reusable style guides. In addition, you will document styles for wider team adoption, ensure all visual assets meet web accessibility standards, and explore modern creative tools like AI to extend your visual craft.
What you'll do
- Create illustrations across diverse visual styles adapted to client brands, audiences, and project tones.
- Develop new, ownable illustration styles, reusable elements, clear rules, and comprehensive style guides.
- Build moodboards and gather references to set creative direction, communicating the conceptual rationale to teams and clients.
- Document illustration systems so cross-functional team members can extend and apply them consistently.
- Ensure all digital illustration assets adhere to web accessibility standards.
- Explore and integrate emerging tools and technologies, including AI, to enhance visual craftsmanship.
What you bring
- Minimum 5 years of full-time industry experience as an illustrator.
- Accessible portfolio demonstrating strong fundamentals in composition, color, and visual storytelling.
- Ability to work with a minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EDT timezone.
- Experience developing both one-off artwork and scalable illustration systems.
