About the role
As a Senior Data Scientist through Lemon.io, you will be matched with startup clients across the US and Europe to design and build data and AI solutions from scratch. You will take ownership of application architecture, implement RAG and LLM pipelines, and directly interface with stakeholders. The role is completely remote with no micromanagement, allowing you to choose your schedule with async or minimal team overlap.
What you'll do
- Design and develop data science and AI applications from scratch with robust architecture
- Implement solutions leveraging Python, Databricks, RAG frameworks, and Large Language Models
- Communicate directly with startup founders and teams to clarify business goals and justify technical approaches
- Work independently to rapidly onboard and deliver measurable results within startup timelines
What you bring
- 4+ years of commercial experience as a Data Scientist
- 3+ years of commercial experience with Python and Databricks
- Proven commercial experience working with RAG and LLM systems
- Advanced spoken and written English skills for effective client-facing calls
- Strong self-organization and ability to deliver remotely without direct supervision
