About the role
As a Senior Data Engineer focused on AI Platform, you will operate at the intersection of data engineering, platform engineering, and applied AI. You will design and implement the pipelines, services, integrations, and reusable platform capabilities powering AI use cases across the company, utilizing Snowflake, AWS, and modern orchestration tools to transition generative AI applications from prototypes into reliable production systems.
What you'll do
- Design and build data pipelines, ingestion flows, and knowledge retrieval mechanisms supporting AI workflows and agents.
- Develop secure and reusable integrations for AI systems to access enterprise data using APIs, MCP, and tool calling.
- Build reusable services, libraries, and developer tooling to streamline production AI capabilities across engineering teams.
- Apply data modeling, data quality, lineage, and access governance practices across all AI-related data systems.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate emerging AI tech and transition prototype use cases into scalable, observable production deployments.
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, backend engineering, or ML engineering building production systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and modern data platforms such as Snowflake or Databricks.
- Hands-on experience building or supporting production systems using LLMs, generative AI, RAG, embeddings, or AI agents.
- Experience building reusable developer platforms, frameworks, or shared data infrastructure across multiple teams.
- Solid understanding of data security, enterprise governance, and authentication/authorization patterns.
