About the role
Reporting to the VP Global Alliances and Channels, the Partner Sales Director will establish and expand strategic relationships with Global System Integrators (GSIs). You will lead executive interlocks from engineering to CxO levels, negotiate commercial agreements, and drive Ubuntu adoption across GSI digital transformation platforms, while conducting partner workshops, events, and sales presentations.
What you'll do
- Build strategic partner relationships across all levels to increase Ubuntu technology attach rates and market share
- Own partner strategy and lead sell-to, sell-through, and sell-with motions with Global System Integrators
- Negotiate partner contracts and commercial business terms
- Collaborate with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to voice partner needs and achieve targets
- Conduct customer workshops, public presentations, and executive interlocks between partners and Canonical leadership
- Travel internationally up to 40% of the time for partner engagements and events
What you bring
- Extensive experience in alliance or indirect partner sales management roles
- Deep familiarity with Linux, open-source software business models, OpenStack, virtualization, and container ecosystems
- Strong track record navigating complex partner organizations, particularly Global System Integrators
- Demonstrated ability to capture customer requirements, evaluate gaps, and negotiate commercial terms
- Autonomous, hands-on execution mindset comfortable in high-pressure, ambitious environments
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills
