About the role

This general-track role encompasses both Enterprise Sales Executives and Alliances Sales Directors across global regions or verticals. Responsibilities include building strategic relationships, negotiating commercial contracts, collaborating across cross-functional teams, and expanding customer and partner adoption of Canonical's open-source solutions.

What you'll do

  • Advance understanding of Linux, cloud software ecosystems, and open-source selling models.
  • Negotiate commercial business terms and enterprise software contracts.
  • Build and own strategic sales and partner engagement plans to deliver on revenue targets.
  • Align with marketing, sales engineering, and product management to represent partner and customer feedback.
  • Travel internationally for company events and regular client/partner meetings.

What you bring

  • Track record of exceeding revenue and sales performance expectations in tech.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and open-source technology.
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field or a compelling alternative track.
  • Professional written and spoken English communication and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for company events and partner engagements.
