About the role
As an Entrepreneur in Residence / Product Lead for Thinkrail within JetBrains' Innovation Hub, you will partner directly with the technical founder to steer the product from alpha into a robust, production-ready system. Unlike a conventional PM role, your focus will be on understanding real developer workflows—pinpointing where specs, architecture, and code break down—and translating those insights into prioritized product requirements, roadmap decisions, and go-to-market strategies.
What you'll do
- Define product direction, validate core hypotheses, and prioritize what to build first for zero-to-one development.
- Conduct continuous user discovery with developers and customers to identify real workflows and friction points.
- Define the ideal customer profile (ICP), core use cases, and initial product scope.
- Shape positioning, messaging, launches, and the broader go-to-market strategy.
- Monitor ecosystem trends, competitor tools, and AI developments.
- Collaborate closely with engineering to keep a small team aligned and executing quickly.
What you bring
- 8+ years of product management experience owning strategy, discovery, and delivery end-to-end.
- Proven startup experience building and shipping zero-to-one products in small teams.
- Hands-on experience with developer tools or AI products.
- Strong technical fluency and comfort collaborating closely with software engineers.
- High autonomy and ability to make decisions rapidly under ambiguity.
