About the role
As part of Canonical's Embedded Devices Software Solution Sales team, you will prospect new accounts, carry an annual bookings quota, and build strategic commercial relationships with leading security-focused manufacturers and brands. The position involves engaging senior enterprise stakeholders to position open-source solutions, embedded Linux, and RTOS offerings across consumer electronics, industrial IoT, automotive, and robotics.
What you'll do
- Build and execute a territory sales plan targeting leading brands and device manufacturers.
- Prospect new business and develop an active pipeline through outreach, marketing, and events.
- Close contracts to achieve and exceed quarterly and annual bookings targets.
- Manage the complete sales cycle and establish trusted relationships with key decision-makers.
- Collaborate with Field Engineers to address complex technical customer requirements.
What you bring
- Proven field sales experience in embedded Linux, embedded software, or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving sales targets and securing large account wins.
- Undergraduate degree in a technical subject along with strong academic credentials.
- Professional written and spoken English with exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to travel up to 50% for client meetings and internationally twice a year for team events.
