About the role
As a Data Analyst at Sporty Group, you will analyze petabytes of data to deliver actionable insights driving product, trading, and executive decisions. You will design, define, and track core business KPIs while building dashboards and self-service analytics frameworks. In addition to ad hoc strategic analyses, you will play an essential role in collaborating with data engineering to ensure data quality and the integrity of the reporting infrastructure.
What you'll do
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable business insights.
- Design, define, and monitor core business KPIs to evaluate product and operational performance.
- Partner with product, marketing, and business teams to translate inquiries into structured data analyses.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting frameworks using tools like Metabase and SQL.
- Validate datasets and collaborate with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and reporting reliability.
What you bring
- 3+ years of experience in a similar data-driven analytics role.
- Excellent working knowledge of SQL and solid familiarity with Python and BI visualization tools.
- Strong hands-on experience working with KPIs, OKRs, and A/B testing methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of ETL data pipelines, relational databases, and data warehouse principles.
- Familiarity with Airflow and managing data workflows.
