About the role
As a Customer Success Manager, you will serve as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of customers, guiding them on Git, branching strategies, the software development lifecycle, and DevSecOps best practices. You will lead workshops, help establish Centers of Excellence, and translate product usage data into actionable recommendations to drive long-term adoption and retention in close collaboration with product, sales, and engineering teams.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with assigned customers to drive adoption, measurable outcomes, and long-term satisfaction.
- Provide expert deployment guidance, share operational best practices, and assist customers in establishing a GitLab Center of Excellence.
- Lead and facilitate workshops to demonstrate the full value of the GitLab DevSecOps platform across customer development lifecycles.
- Monitor customer progress against critical KPIs and translate usage data into clear recommendations for customers and internal account teams.
- Collaborate across Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Professional Services to streamline issue resolution and align on customer success plans.
What you bring
- Demonstrated experience in a customer-facing role focused on post-sales adoption, value realization, or technical account management.
- Working understanding of Git, branching strategies, and modern version control workflows.
- Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps concepts.
- Skill in translating technical metrics and usage data into actionable business and operational insights.
- Strong facilitation and relationship-building abilities to guide customers through best practices and organizational change.
