About the role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and serving on the Strategic Management Team, the Chief Operating Officer will provide strategic and operational leadership across Fòs Feminista. The COO bridges strategy and day-to-day execution across multiple international jurisdictions and functions, integrating People, Inclusion, and Culture; Business Intelligence, Evaluation and Research; and Legal Affairs, while overseeing operational integration and fiduciary controls alongside the Chief Financial Officer.

What you'll do

  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and active member of the Strategic Management Team, translating priorities into measurable annual and multi-year plans.
  • Act as principal organizational integrator across strategy, finance, human resources, evidence, legal affairs, and operational systems.
  • Provide executive oversight of financial planning, controls, and performance in close partnership with the CFO and CEO.
  • Align revenue strategies, major donor proposals, and Feminist Impact Fund governance with organizational delivery capacity and risk management.
  • Guide People, Inclusion, and Culture initiatives to maintain equitable workforce planning, compensation, and staff well-being in a distributed multilingual team.
  • Oversee Legal Affairs, Business Intelligence, safeguarding, information security, and enterprise risk management across multiple international jurisdictions.

What you bring

  • Executive-level operational leadership experience within complex, multi-jurisdictional, or international non-profit environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to move seamlessly between high-level strategy and accountable, hands-on organizational execution.
  • Experience overseeing multidisciplinary functional areas such as finance, human resources, legal affairs, and research/evaluation.
  • Deep commitment to intersectional feminist values, equity, and inclusion across diverse, global teams.
