About the role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at GitLab, you will drive initial outbound prospecting across target accounts to generate qualified meetings and Sales Accepted Opportunities (SAOs). Working closely with Field and Digital Marketing and Account Executives, you will conduct discovery calls, map buyer personas, execute multi-touch sequences in Outreach, and document team processes directly in the GitLab handbook.

What you'll do

  • Execute outbound prospecting initiatives across an assigned territory to generate qualified meetings and pipeline.
  • Conduct discovery conversations with target accounts to qualify business needs and generate Sales Accepted Opportunities.
  • Run multi-touch outreach cadences using phone, email, and social channels via Outreach.
  • Manage, track, and forecast prospecting activities and pipeline accurately in Salesforce.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales teams on targeted campaigns and attend regional marketing events.
  • Document and refine BDR workflows in the GitLab handbook while mentoring new team members.

What you bring

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage high outreach volume, and self-drive projects to completion.
  • Strong communication, listening, writing, and phone skills.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Outreach or equivalent sales engagement platforms.
  • Full working proficiency in English.
  • Previous experience in tech, sales development, marketing, or closing sales roles is preferred.
