About the role
As an Associate Renewals Manager at GitLab, you will play an essential role in retaining and expanding annual recurring revenue across existing customer accounts. You will manage customer outreach via phone, video, and email, evaluate license usage, create accurate renewal quotes, and coordinate with internal stakeholders to finalize orders smoothly.
What you'll do
- Maximize customer retention rates and minimize churn and contraction through effective sales techniques.
- Execute renewal workflows to ensure annual recurring revenue is retained or expanded.
- Evaluate license usage and complete customer true-up requirements.
- Understand customer business needs to generate timely renewal quotes.
- Provide renewals administration support to Renewals Managers and Account Executives.
- Liaise with customers to ensure purchase orders and order forms are completed accurately for internal deal approvals.
What you bring
- Prior experience in related customer-facing or sales roles (e.g., SDR, BDR, sales operations, deal desk, customer success).
- Demonstrated experience with B2B software sales and subscription GTM renewal approaches.
- Strong negotiation, closing, and presentation capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Preferred familiarity with technical products, DevOps, or the software development lifecycle.
