About the role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will shape the core intelligence of GraphAware Hume, Neo4j's graph-powered analytics platform. You will be responsible for building APIs for intuitive user interaction with complex data, designing secure and scalable access control systems, orchestrating analytical workflows, and optimizing application performance across modern distributed architectures.
What you'll do
- Build secure, modular, and scalable APIs for intuitive user interaction with complex data
- Design robust access control systems for mission-critical enterprise environments
- Orchestrate workflows to automate graph analytics, inference, and real-time insights
- Optimize application performance and collaborate with other engineers on technical architecture and design
- Contribute composable, maintainable, and testable code adhering to Clean Architecture and DDD practices
What you bring
- 8+ years of proven experience in backend systems with large-scale, complex applications
- Fluency in Java, with deep knowledge of Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and TDD
- Strong background in Spring (or similar frameworks) for building scalable backend APIs
- Experience designing data models in relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and ideally graph databases
- Hands-on experience with modern CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and secure software design (OWASP)
