About the role
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will oversee the technical strategy, delivery execution, and organizational capability for systems handling video creation, streaming, processing, and playback. You will manage and mentor senior individual contributors, partner with executive leadership on roadmaps, and embed AI-assisted tools and agentic environments into everyday engineering workflows to optimize velocity and platform reliability.
What you'll do
- Lead, develop, and mentor an engineering organization composed of senior, staff, and principal individual contributors.
- Establish and execute technical roadmaps for distributed, high-performance, low-latency video processing systems.
- Embed modern AI tooling and agentic development environments (e.g., Claude Code) into the engineering lifecycle to accelerate delivery speed.
- Drive architectural decisions guaranteeing reliability, low latency, and platform scalability.
- Coordinate cross-functional delivery and technical trade-offs with product management, infrastructure teams, and executive stakeholders.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
- 8+ years of professional engineering experience working on complex distributed systems.
- 4+ years of direct people management experience leading senior, staff, or principal engineers.
- Proficiency in software development languages such as JavaScript, Python, C#, or Java in high-availability production environments.
- Applied experience leveraging modern AI-first engineering practices and agentic development environments.
