About the role
In this role on the Network Management Platform team, you will build and support the critical services and infrastructure that store and deploy network configurations across Fastly's global fleet. You will partner with infrastructure and operations teams to set technical direction, automate provisioning, and deliver performant tools that enable fleet expansion.
What you'll do
- Work with cross-functional teams to architect and deliver systems that manage and deploy network configurations.
- Design and deliver features to support infrastructure provisioning as Fastly's fleet scales in size and complexity.
- Develop and improve software development workflows, including testing, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
- Write performant, clear, and maintainable code while conducting peer code reviews.
- Mentor and support fellow engineers to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration.
What you bring
- Significant professional software development experience (typically 5+ years).
- 3+ years of experience building and managing containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 3+ years of experience automating public cloud workloads (AWS or GCP) and using IaC tools like Terraform.
- Demonstrated track record of writing resilient, maintainable Python or another modern language.
- Experience with DevOps best practices and scalable infrastructure.
