About the role
As a Senior AI Automation Engineer, you will embed across multiple business functions at Later—including Later Influence, Later Social, and Mavely—to replace manual, repetitive workflows with reliable AI tooling. Sitting at the intersection of engineer, internal consultant, and coach, you will rapidly prototype v1 solutions, wire together LLMs, agents, RAG patterns, and APIs, harden high-impact tools for production, and establish shared templates and enablement sessions so colleagues across the company can build their own automations.
What you'll do
- Embed with non-technical stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Marketing, and Customer Success to translate business problems into technical solutions.
- Build pragmatic automations and internal tools using AI-native platforms, scripting, APIs, LLMs, agents, and RAG architectures.
- Harden working prototypes into reliable, observable, production-grade systems with error handling, documentation, and monitoring.
- Coach non-technical colleagues via office hours, working sessions, and templates to grow an internal citizen-developer community.
- Develop reusable components, prompt libraries, and integration patterns to compound org-wide automation capabilities.
What you bring
- Demonstrated track record of building and shipping automations, internal tools, or AI-driven workflows with measurable impact.
- Fluency with modern AI tooling (LLMs, agents, RAG, prompt design) and integrating APIs, scripts, and low-code/no-code platforms.
- Business-first orientation with a bias to action, capable of shipping working v1 prototypes rapidly.
- Strong communication skills with experience explaining technical tradeoffs and coaching non-technical builders.
- Comfort working with, pulling, cleaning, and reasoning about data.
