About the role
In this role, you will lead a geographically distributed team of engineers responsible for the Firefox browser user interface across Windows, Linux, and macOS. You will balance product delivery with long-term frontend platform health, establish high-performing engineering practices, and partner closely with Product, UX, QA, and Data Science teams to build open and user-centric software.
What you'll do
- Drive initiatives to deliver high-quality, maintainable, and observable front-end software to Firefox users.
- Navigate technical trade-offs and drive team alignment balancing quick delivery with sustainable architectural approaches.
- Communicate team goals, project scopes, risks, and timelines across the organization.
- Engage regularly in 1-on-1s with team members to support their technical work and career development.
- Collaborate across cross-functional teams including Product, UX, QA, Operations, and Data Science.
What you bring
- 4+ years leading engineers in a software development environment across distributed teams.
- Software engineering background with hands-on experience in web technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
- Demonstrated track record of delivering user-facing product experiences and leading complex projects.
- Experience with frontend platform initiatives, design systems, and architectural improvements.
- Strong communication, mentorship, and cross-functional leadership skills.
