About the role
As a Design Engineer (Web & Brand) on Linear's internal creative agency (the Magic Team), you will help communicate Linear's story by designing and building complex, interactive web experiences. The role balances creative exploration in tools like Figma with implementation in React, TypeScript, and modern animation libraries, delivering production-quality websites and interactive tools with an eye for detail and speed.
What you'll do
- Build complex and interactive UI web and application experiences.
- Develop responsive websites, landing pages, and internal tools.
- Implement creative animations and interactions in code.
- Explore visual design in Figma and translate ideas into web-native interfaces.
- Leverage agentic coding tools throughout the design and prototyping process.
What you bring
- Strong frontend engineering skills with an eye for good visual design.
- Demonstrated experience building end-to-end websites and landing pages.
- Proficiency with React and TypeScript.
- Experience using agentic coding tools from exploration to production interactions.
- A portfolio or public profile showcasing technical and prototyping skills with creative code.
