About the role
As a Cloud Solutions Architect in the Alliances team, you will collaborate with major hardware manufacturers, global system integrators, independent software vendors, and public cloud partners. You will design and validate reference architectures for technologies like Kubernetes, OpenStack, Ceph, and Ubuntu across both on-premises and public cloud environments, while delivering technical workshops and helping business leaders craft joint go-to-market strategies.
What you'll do
- Architect cloud infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, and Ceph on-premises or across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Architect and integrate open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra, and NGINX.
- Help alliance partners offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies.
- Design and publish joint reference architectures and execute technical validations with partners.
- Prepare and run onboarding sessions and technical workshops with partner teams.
What you bring
- Extensive experience with Linux (Ubuntu preferred), Kubernetes, Ceph, and software automation.
- Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions on public and private clouds.
- Working understanding of Python, Bash scripting, and systems troubleshooting.
- Strong presentation, communication, and partner-facing skills in fluent English.
- Willingness and ability to travel globally up to 30% of the time.
