About the role
As a Cloud Engineering Manager for the BootStack team, you will lead engineers overseeing day-to-day managed services of customer private cloud environments, including OpenStack and Kubernetes deployments. You will be responsible for customer service management, operations excellence, team health, and driving continuous product improvement engineering across complex distributed systems.
What you'll do
- Manage a growing engineering team to optimize the quality and velocity of development and operations
- Identify and measure team health indicators and implement disciplined operational processes
- Represent the BootStack team with respect to stakeholders, customers, and external teams
- Ensure team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables to meet global customer SLAs
- Deliver high-quality managed cloud services in a consistent, timely manner
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-related field
- Proven experience in software delivery (Python, Go, C, C++, Java, etc.) or managing operations teams
- Hands-on, proven experience with OpenStack and Linux system administration
- Experience working in and managing distributed teams with agile methodologies
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for team events, company sprints, and customer meetings
