About the role
As a Build Infrastructure Engineer for JetBrains IDEs, you will maintain and evolve the infrastructure powering test runs, installer builds, and product releases across massive codebases spanning over 14 GB of source code. Working closely with developer tooling and internal systems, you will write maintainable automation code and build scripts to streamline daily operations for more than 500 developers.
What you'll do
- Support and develop infrastructure for fast, reliable test runs, installer builds, and product releases
- Develop build tooling and automation scripts primarily using Java and Kotlin
- Manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure utilizing tools such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud providers
- Collaborate across developer teams to diagnose build bottlenecks and optimize workflows
- Handle basic Linux system administration and environment setup tasks
What you bring
- Professional experience with Java or Kotlin stack development and clean code practices
- Familiarity with build systems such as Bazel, Gradle, or Maven
- Experience with DevOps tools like AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform, Packer, or Ansible
- Solid understanding of Linux fundamentals, shell scripting, and basic system administration
- Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills
