About the role
As the Team Lead for the software development team, you will drive the architecture, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions. Your responsibilities span hands-on coding and line management, ensuring smooth collaboration, technical innovation, and delivery across a modern microservices stack built on Java 17, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes.
What you'll do
- Lead and mentor a development team in the EU region, fostering a collaborative, high-performance engineering culture
- Participate in high-level architecture, design decisions, and best practices for complex backend systems
- Drive the development lifecycle from requirements gathering to deployment, ensuring timely delivery
- Conduct regular code reviews and manage team members' performance and career development
- Help drive continuous improvement across development processes, tools, and infrastructure
What you bring
- 8+ years of experience in backend software development (e.g., Java, Node.js, Python, Go)
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role with mentorship and performance review experience
- Strong background in software architecture and designing scalable, reliable systems
- Hands-on expertise in backend development, APIs, and microservices architectures
- Excellent communication skills in English and comfort working with a distributed team
